Hugh's first full year after leaving The Stranglers, spent largely working with Roger Cook and Andy West on what became the CCW project. The CCW album was recorded in December 1991 at Kohsan Studios in Bath, and included ten tracks co-produced by Neil Davidge. Documented live work is still thin: early CCW club dates in January and March, a still-unexplained Palladium listing in July, a *This Is Your Life* cameo, and a CLIC variety bill at Bristol Hippodrome in November.
